Our company was originally established on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, by a South African, Fred Ericsen-Miller, in the late 80's. Starting out as a small butchery called Fred's Meats on Mount Tambourine, Fred went on to start Bushtucker Foods in the Molendinar area of the Gold Coast. Springbok Foods, as it's known today, was born shortly thereafter. The business quickly out grew its premises and moved to Burleigh where a larger factory and retail shop was established to service the growing South African and Australian customer base.

The Gold Coast business has grown exponentially over the last few years and has resulted in one of the largest South African food networks servicing the Brisbane and surrounding Queensland South African expat communities on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
